Walking on water

Greenpeace Wageningen organized a stunt in the lunch hour at the Forum yesterday. Passers-by were invited to walk on water (in a large ball) on the Forum pond.

This is part of Greenpeace’s lobbying campaign to persuade Nestlé into only using palm oil from plantations for which no rain forest has been cleared. Madelon Lohbeck, in her sixth year as a student of Forest & Nature Management and Biology: ‘This is not real campaigning;I see it more as a stunt to attract people’s attention. Sometimes we just like to organize some fun for people. We’ll be out again on 5 May. Then we’ll be at the Plantsoen in Wageningen.’
