Wageningen students are hardworking

According to a ministry of education survey, students at Wageningen University spend an average of 40 hours a week studying, 6 hours more than the national average.

No other sector works harder, and the same is true for HBO agricultural students: they spend an average of 39 hours a week studying, against the 36 hour average. Only technical HBO students work harder, with a 42 hour study week. The figures are published in the student monitor, an annual survey of Dutch students done by the ministry of education. The survey also shows that Wageningen students spend relatively little time doing paid work: 8 hours per week on average, 4 hours less than the national average. HBO students in the agricultural sector work 11 hours a week.
