Wageningen UR buys ten thousand hectares savannah for grazer research


The Executive Board announced this week that the Nature Conservation group
at Wageningen University would receive one million euros for a big research
project on large grazers in South Africa. Wageningen UR will buy a thousand-
hectare farm for research on the competition between gemsbok (Oryx
gazelle), wildebeest and hartebeest.

Vice-president of the Executive Board, Kees van Ast, made the announcement
