Van Paassen slithers to ninth place

Ninth place - that was as far as Sanne van Paassen could get at the Cyclo-Cross Biking World Championship on Sunday 31 January.

As the Management, Economics and Consumer Studies student had foreseen, it was not just a question of who was the strongest on the day at the championships in Tabor in the Czech Republic.
It was just as much about who could stay on their bike longest on the slippery course. Van Paassen at any rate did come off, thus losing the good position she had achieved through her quick start. She eventually managed to fight back to get ninth place, which made her the third Dutch woman.
