Van Lammeren is 'Teacher of the Year'
André van Lammeren, Plant Cell Biology associate professor, has been chosen as the Teacher of the Year 2010. The jury praised his passion for the subject, interaction with students and broad array of teaching material.

Devoted and innovative
Besides his passion for the subject, interaction with students and broad array of teaching material, the jury also valued the way Van Lammeren urges students to think about issues. 'Students with queries are welcomed in his office at all times, but they hardly leave with direct answers. André motivates his students to ponder the issues which they have raised.'
Savelkoul
The limelight was also turned on Prof. Huub Savelkoul. He had been nominated four times for the title of best teacher and continued to score excellently in the selections. He was therefore bestowed the title 'Teacher hors classe' and received a replica of the Wageningen Tree.
