VHL to get schools
As of January 2011, the Van Hall Larenstein degree programmes will be organized in three schools tied to the three sites. The aim is to introduce more cohesion into the programmes.
After four years, the schools will be reorganized to cover subject fields (such as 'green living environment' or 'nutrition'). The employees' council stipulated in the merger negotiations that the schools should be organized by location initially rather than by subject field. The VHL directors will also be reviewing the costs for the support services provided by Wageningen UR, such as the group levy and the ICT services, before Christmas.
