If you appreciate a good six pack and well-formed biceps, there was plenty to enjoy at the Strong Men Experience on 19 June.
The university's most muscular specimens gathered on the field next to the star-shaped Hoevestein flats to carry round heavy round stones and lift tree trunks. Last year's winner, Biology student Diederik de Moel (seventh from the left), emerged once again as Wageningen UR's strongest man. Last year it was the Thymos ladies who organized the strongest man competition but this year the strong men did it themselves. Participant Mark Rothuis (centre, wearing black shorts) hopes to make it an annual event.
