The migration of knowledge: Africa day
New students arrive in Wageningen each year from all over the world where they encounter a new environment, new people and above all new knowledge through their study at the University.
Have you ever asked yourself what we do with our newly gained knowledge? Do we all return to our countries to apply the newly gained knowledge there? Or do some of us have good reasons not to go back to our own country? What can we mean for our countries with our new-found knowledge and what share do our governments have in our decision to go back?
OtherWise is holding Africa Day on Saturday 21 September. Discussions on the migration of knowledge will be stimulated by presentations from Africans, Europeans and by drums, African dance and food. More information: 0317 423590
