Surprise flowers for IAC course participant


This week the International Agricultural Centre (IAC) celebrated its
15,000th course participant since its start in 1951.

The lucky woman who was surprised with a bouquet of flowers, Joyce Lugonzo
from Kenya, started a course in fisheries management last week in
Wageningen. In addition to the flowers that now grace her WICC hotel room
and two books on the Netherlands, Lugonzo also received money, which she
was asked to spend on a hobby. “I like music, photography, and watching
nature and birds. Maybe I’ll use the money to buy a digital camera or video
camera,
