Students play weathermen

Wageningen meteorology students presented the weather predictions on radio 3FM last week.

Radio 3FM is aimed at young listeners, and one of its latest ideas is to get meteorology students to predict the weather for the coming twenty-four hours, and then look back a day later whether they were right or not. Marcel de Vries was one of the Wageningen weathermen: “I was quite nervous. They called just before eight o’clock in the morning. I was so nervous I said ‘overcast’ when I meant ‘a little cloudy’. Immediately after the broadcast loads of friends messaged me, and let me know that of course it wasn’t so cloudy!”
