Students move

All students that were given a room in a holiday park one hundred kilometres away from the university at the end of August, have now been housed in student flat in Wageningen.

The housing shortage for international students has not yet been solved, however. Students arriving now will first get a temporary room in a holiday park, although this one is closer than the first one, near Hoenderloo, about forty kilometres from Wageningen. The university is happy with the situation. ‘It’s working well, fortunately students don’t have to wait long for a permanent room’, says spokesman Simon Vink. Student accommodation office Idealis thinks that the emergency accommodation will be needed until the end of October.
