Sharp increase in international student numbers

Sharp increase in international student numbers

The number of international students has risen by 57 percent this year. 231 students enroled in the 14 Master programmes offered by Wageningen University, compared to 147 in 1999. This is a record year for the university: never before has it attracted so many international students. 1999 on the other hand was a relatively bad year for the university. After years of steadily increasing international student numbers, there was a drop from 167 students in 1998 to 148 last year. The university aims to further increase the numbers to about 300 by 2002.
