Pesticides are unavoidable in intensive agriculture, but better spraying methods can help protect the environment.

At a Demo day on 29 May, Wageningen UR showed how smarter spraying spectacularly reduces the amount of pesticide that gets into surface water. The ultimate solution for restricting seepage of pesticides is the tunnel sprayer, which screens off the spraying process.
