Being voted best teacher at the best university in the Netherlands is something to be proud of.

Biochemist Dolf Weijers was clearly surprised and thrilled when it was announced that he had won this prize. 'This is the greatest honour I have received in recent years', he said. 'I see it as my duty to keep this standard up.'
He was picked as teacher of the year because of his   tremendous passion for  science. Weijers is Wageningen's youngest professor. In his speech, rector magnificus Martin Kropff emphasized that Weijers manages to combine top-notch research with top-notch teaching. So it is possible, said the rector.
