Prize for algae

The LGem company has won a prize of 25,000 euros for the best business plan of the Biobusiness Master class 2005-2006. LGem will produce algae for fish farming companies. One of the founders of the small company is Wageningen professor of Marine Biotechnology René Wijffels. The researchers in his group are working together with LGem to build new bioreactors to produce algae. There is a test reactor in the Agrotechnion building of the university. The master class is organised by the Wageningen Business School and the Erasmus University. / KV
