PhD students meet on the dance floor

More than 400 young researchers got out of their labs and onto the dance floor in Junushoff last Friday.

It was the fourth time that the annual Wageningen PhD party was held. The party aims to get young researchers from the various graduate schools to get to know one another, says Eveline Hooft, one of the organizers. 'They can find out who else are also doing a PhD study,' she says. 'Naturally, many nationalities were present, which resulted in a cordial and amiable atmosphere.' The dancing feet were active till the wee hours of the morning.
The party should have been held every year at the time of the university foundation day celebrations, but did not take place last year.
