Number of international students keeps rising

The numbers of international students enrolling at Wageningen University
continues to rise.

By mid-October the university administration had counted a total of 346 new
students, 50 more than at the same time last year, and 120 more are still
expected. The majority (306) started an MSc programme, thereby outnumbering
the Dutch students (303) who did their BSc elsewhere. Forty international
students started a BSc in Wageningen, the same as last year, but this
number will soon double as 50 Chinese BSc students still have to arrive.
With 9%, the Chinese students are by far the largest group among the new
international students. In second place are the students from Ethiopia (28
compared to 19 last year). The number of Indonesian students has almost
halved (from 29 to 16) while the number of students from France remains
stable.
