North-South Centre launches new website
A new website has been launched by the North-South Centre of Wageningen UR.
The website features information on issues related to development oriented
research. The aim is to centralise information about all relevant research
done at Wageningen UR, and to facilitate discussion among researchers and
New on the site is the opportunity for researchers involved in complex
international projects to jointly prepare documents and get updates on the
project without having to meet physically. This is made possible through a
groupware facility called ScienceTeam.
On the site researchers involved in development-related research can
present their results, or create their own project sub-site under the North-
South Centre umbrella. In addition, information can be found about the two
major development-related research programmes at Wageningen UR which are
managed by the North South centre, the Interdisciplinary Research and
Education Fund (INREF) of Wageningen University and the International Co-
operation Program (DLO-IC) of the Agricultural Research Institutes.
The website also highlights policy issues, debates and training
opportunities within Wageningen UR. News and a bimonthly newsletter can be
downloaded from the website. By registering on the site, you can also be
updated by e-mail. The new North-South Centre website can be found at
