At the insistence of the Student Council, the Executive Board has agreed that there should be no evening lectures for regular university education.
At present no lectures are given in the evening, but there are plans to introduce them in the new education buildings in De Born. This would mean the university can get away with building fewer lecture theatres, but the Student Council recommended last week that the Executive Board reject this idea. For the students starting in September 2004 the ruling will apply for the whole duration of their study. This means it will be difficult to introduce evening lectures in 2006 when the new lecture accommodation is ready.
