Construction work on the new Animal Science buildings on campus is due to start before the summer.
A planning application has now been submitted to Wageningen town council. The new buildings will take the place of the current premises of the Zodiac complex on the Marijkeweg. The animal scientists will get a location on the north-western side of the campus opposite Atrium. There will be nine new buildings including stalls for pigs, poultry and cows. Construction work will take a year.
