NEW AGROBIODIVERSITY COURSE
Under the watchful eye of farmer’s wife Joke de Geus, students on the new Agrobiodiversity course inspect the catch of insects from a field margin, sown to increase on-farm ‘functional’ biodiversity.
The students recently spent a week doing fieldwork in the Hoeksche Waard in the Netherlands. This year, the Agrobiodiversity course is an elective for both Dutch and international students. Next academic year, it will be part of the BSc minor in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Consumption.
