Moon cakes

Moon cakes/ Last Friday, Chinese students studying in Wageningen came together at the International Club in the Haarweg to celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival. Every year on the fifteenth day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar, they celebrate the moon being at its fullest and brightest. Traditionally, family and friends gather to sing, dance and eat special Chinese cakes in the shape of the moon. As making them takes quite some effort, the Chinese Association of Students and Scholars in Wageningen (CASSW) ordered them specially from a Chinese shop in Amsterdam.
