Life sciences at school

Wageningen University is collaborating with secondary schools in Wageningen, Veenendaal, Ede, Zetten and Barneveld to set up a network of schools around Food Valley.

The aim is to ensure there is more focus in education on the life sciences. Various teacher training colleges will also be spending more time on science and technology so that in future teachers will be able to introduce primary school children to these subjects. The university is doing all this to win new young recruits to the life sciences, as a lack of graduates in these subjects is predicted for the future.
