Internet telephones sales soar

As student accommodation office SSHW went over to Voice over IP (VoIP) phoning through an Internet cable connection at the start of the year, the local phone shop Tell Me has been having a busy time. The changeover has led to teething troubles. The server in Wageningen had some problems and will be replaced next week. Students wanting to buy a new phone had to order it first and then pick it up a day later, and some had to return their new purchases because of software problems. Old telephone directories, such as the WSO-gids, are now useless as numbers have changed. The good news is that phone costs should go down, especially for international calls.
