Fish master

A new master’s in Aquaculture & Fisheries will start in September. The degree received the necessary accreditation recently and survived the ministerial test last week. This means that the degree is officially recognised and students are therefore eligible for a grant. The degree course will focus on the use and management of fish and shellfish, under both natural and cultivated conditions. Ab Groen, head of education at the department of Animal Sciences: ‘Marine management and aquaculture is an enormous international growth market, and the same can be said for sports fishing and ornamental fish.’ / GvM
