First impressions: ‘Great sports facilities but expensive housing’

Getting ready for a group exercise at the running track Farzin comments on the excellent sports facilities in Wageningen. Farzin is one of the few students from Iran. He is glad to be here, but one thing is bugging him: housing expenses are so high. “Apartments here are too expensive. A simple one or two-room apartment already costs 350 euros.” He’s having trouble finding accommodation for a reasonable rent, and with the academic year about to start Farzin is still without somewhere to live. Understandably he’s getting nervous
