Argo rowers and ex-rowers took the chance to pay a last visit to their familiar old premises on the Grebbe dyke and bid farewell to the changing rooms, the wet rooms, the canteen and the cramped board room. And to take a look at the drawings of the new building.
Demolition of the old building, which leaks like a sieve and does not meet the standards of the NOC*NSF, will start on 27 August. The new building should be ready by the end of the year. The rowing club, which celebrates its centenary in 2013, has grown a lot in recent years. For the coming season, which starts in September, almost 200 members have signed up.
