Experimental farm trains sustainable dairy farmers
Applied research farm De Marke in Hengelo will teach students from CAH University of Applied Sciences in Dronten how to maintain a sustainable dairy farm.

Students from the CAH will be given lessons in mineral management and get acquainted with equipment which minimizes environmentally harmful emissions on farms. They will also take part in research work and undergo traineeships at one of De Marke's European partners.
Dairy farming is one of the specializations of the 'Animal and Livestock Farming' programme in Dronten. Many of its students tend to take over their parents' farms upon graduation. De Marke experimental farm carries out a lot of test research into how to reduce emission of greenhouse gases, nitrogen and phosphate. Wageningen UR and CAH Dronten will sign an agreement on 30 August to formalize their cooperation.
