Six universities came to agreement on Thursday 15 February about the education programme of the new European Master’s Animal Breeding and Genetics.
The programme is intended for talented students from outside the European Union. About ten students each year are expected to follow part of the programme in Wageningen. The programme is part of the EU’s Erasmus Mundus programme, which awards study scholarships to promising non-EU students. The initiator of the programme is Professor Johan van Arendonk of Wageningen University. There have already been 164 applications for 24 places.
