Drivers can do something for the environment

PhD student Adriana Ignaciuk from Poland is an environmentally aware
person. Cutting emissions of pollutants are important to her. She drives a
fuel-efficient Skoda, cycles as much as possible and is a strong believer
in biofuel. Besides her concerns about the global environment, she does as
much as she can to make her personal working environment as comfortable as
possible.

“Unfortunately, you can't buy biofuel like ethanol easily at petrol
stations in Europe, although I would really like that. For now, I try to
minimize my time in the car - although it only uses 6.8 litres per 100 km -
and ride my bike whenever I can, so I bring less carbon dioxide into the
air.
