Enough housing

By the end of next week, no more international students at Wageningen University will be in temporary housing in holiday parks. ‘Everyone has now moved into a room in Wageningen,’ said Simon Vink, spokesman for Wageningen UR.

Emergency housing for international students was introduced at the end of August, first in bungalows in Het Loo in the Veluwe, nearly an hour away from Wageningen. A few weeks later accommodation was found closer by in a holiday park in Lunteren. Most students who arrived between the end of August and mid November were assigned a regular room within two weeks. ‘The emergency measure worked well,’ said Vink. For international students arriving in the coming months there should be rooms available immediately, said Vink.
