‘Wageningers are really not that bad at giving lectures in English’

Marjan Noordhoek, coordinator of the Centre for Language Education at
Wageningen University reacted in last week’s Wb to the complaints made in
Wb 19 on this page about incomprehensible lecturers. Here is a summary of
her response in English.

“From the comments it sounds as though the lecturers are absolutely
hopeless, and I really don’t think the situation is that bad. Many have
studied or worked in countries where English is spoken and are really quite
skilled in giving lectures in English,
