Council to reconsider campus accommodation

The political principle against any kind of accommodation, entertainment and shopping facilities on campus appears to be being gradually eroded.

Next month Wageningen town council will convene a public meeting to discuss this issue.
This is an initiative by the VVD party, which is responding to 'signals' from the community, says local party leader Johan Osinga. For years activities other than education and work have been banned from university campuses. But according to Osinga, Wageningen entrepreneurs feel it is time to widen the scope. High time for the VVD to take the temperature, then. The meeting will be held at the town hall on Tuesday 15 March at 19.30.
