Cool university

Rector Professor Martin Kropff announced at his first meeting with the Student Council that he wants to make Wageningen University ‘cool’. His suggestion did not fall on deaf ears. Rembrandt Koppelaar of the Progressive Student Fraction: ‘If someone comes with a request like this, I’m happy to think along with them.’ In response he wrote the proposal ‘A strategic outline for coolness, survival and opportunities’, which the Student Council will discuss soon. The proposal starts with a thorough analysis of the term cool and the aspects of Wageningen that make it attractive as it is. However, apart from a ‘discussion forum’, there are not yet concrete ideas for improvements. Apparently it’s not that easy to pimp Wageningen. / JH
