Bornsesteeg to be closed to cars

The Bornsesteeg between the campus and the Kielekampsteeg is to be closed to cars. This will do away with a popular shortcut.

Wageningen city council and Wageningen UR have reached an agreement on this plan. When the Mansholtlaan is chock-a-block, many drivers take the 'back route' via the Kielekampsteeg and the Bornsesteeg. This creates some dangerous situations as both roads are used by many cyclists. When the road will be closed off is not yet clear. The objection procedure is still ongoing. RK
