The 35 international students who are still living in the Landal Miggelenberg bungalow park in Hoenderloo will probably all have a room in Wageningen just in time for Christmas, the Wageningen University student housing office expects.

‘We hope that everyone will have a room before the holidays. We can’t give a hundred percent guarantee, but we are doing our best’, says Ine Meijer who works at Student Housing. Jan Harkema, vice-director of the student accommodation provider Idealis, says that the room turnover rate has increased, and just about all international students should be housed by the end of the year. ‘Together with the university we are looking at ways of getting a better overview of the turnover. The numbers of new incoming students are difficult to predict, as we saw this summer. It’s also a problem knowing how long students will stay and when they will leave’, adds Harkema.
