Photo: You don't go to university just for the academic courses. Academics also need to learn to deal with cultural differences," says ISP member Simon Kafari (centre), in the discussion on how WAU should organise and improve its international orientation. Tuesday 23rd January ISP held a special meeting with representatives of the University. Two important points on the agenda were the position of international education at WAU and how foreign students can participate in the university's policy making. University Council chairman Raymond Florax (right) and secretary of the Standing Committee on Education Jan Den Dulk (left) argued that, instead of integrating the MSc programmes into the four proposed education institutes, the possibility of a separate institute for international education should be considered. More news on this meeting will follow in the next edition.
