I was interested to read the article by Erik Heijmans about availability of international news in English in Wageningen. One source that the article overlooked is the BBC World Service radio. This broadcasts details of all the news events that the article mentioned. The BBC World Service is available on cable (but the signal is usually very bad), or on medium wave (AM) at 648 kHz (462m). Reception is best with the radio pointing in a westerly direction.
