Movember

In November, men all around the world grow moustaches. They do this to raise money and draw attention to prostate cancer. This year, more than a million men are growing a ‘mo’ (short for moustache). There are quite a few bristly upper lips in Wageningen too. Seven students at Wageningen rugby club started November with a ritual shaving session – for rule number one is that you start the month with a clean-shaven face. Furthermore, the moustache is not allowed to join up with your sideburns because then it is a beard. And if it reaches the chin you have a circle beard. The results will be assessed at the end of the month; who will end up with the most millimetres? Donations can be made via movember.com.
