Mariame + food bank

'There are always people worse off than you'

'It's a question of fi lling crates really
- shopping for people who don't
have much to spare. It's serious
work, but the volunteers have plenty
of laughs, says Mariame Gada, of
International Student Support. She
enjoys her voluntary work for the
food bank. 'It's good exercise, all
that lifting. And it helps you keep
things in perspective if you think
you are having a hard time: it could
be much worse.'
