Labour of love: making golf affordable

‘It began as a rebellion. We wanted to make golf cheaper’, say Igor Bennik and Jouke Fridsma.

Golf is a great sport, but far too pricey. It must be possible to play more cheaply, thought VHL golfers Bennik and Fridsma after a budget golfing holiday in Portugal. And now they are golf agents. They bring supply and demand together at A real gap in the market, judging by the ten thousand hits the site gets per month. And golf clubs are happy too, says Bennik. ‘Golf has peak and off-peak hours too, and we’re a shop window for them. Through us they reach people who wouldn’t go onto their sites otherwise.’
