Nutrition and Health student Julie von Gruenigen is a real triathlete. The half Swiss and half Dutch student has been declared Sportswoman of the Year several times already by Thymos. Before the race, she was sceptical about her chances in the 1/8th triathlon (also called the sprint), as she thinks of herself more as a long-distance kind of athlete. Her last sprint triathlon was about five years ago. Saturday 9 June, on day two of the Great Dutch Student Championship, she went up against 24 other women. This is the story of her race:
