The 20-year-old athlete almost broke the Dutch record in the 100 metre hurdles. She was 0.04 seconds slower than Marjan Olyslager’s record-breaking time of 12.77 that she recorded in 1989. Visser is now concentrating on the 4×100 metre relay, which she will be running on 29 August along with silver medallist Dafne Schippers. Visser is a newcomer in the relay team and will probably run the fi rst leg. She admitted earlier that this was a good position as she still has trouble with the handover. The four relay women are reckoning on a place in the final.
