Students visit German fair

A group of thirty Organic Agriculture students visited the world’s biggest organic trade fair, the BioFach in Germany, last week.

The study trip to Nurnberg was organised by StEL, the study association for Organic Agriculture. The students had a great time and found it useful. ‘We got to see the latest trends in the organic industry, like organic cotton for clothes, organic drinks, and dried fruits from Sri Lanka and India, which were delicious,’ says Shuo Wang.
The students used the visit to meet companies and organisations in their subject area. ‘It was a good opportunity to make contacts for internships and future jobs.’ Shuo also noticed that organic foods get much more space in German supermarkets. ‘They should do so here as well.’
