Students move in to Rijnveste

At the beginning of April several dozen students were handed the keys of their new rooms in Rijnveste, Idealis's brand new student complex.

With the completion of these 336 rooms and nine apartments, Idealis expects to make a difference on the tight student housing market in Wageningen. A new feature is that students could apply for these four- and six-room units as a group. Rijnveste is also the first complex to cater for more than one target group: it will house both Dutch and foreign students, as well as PhD students. In designing the building, Idealis paid special attention to sustainability. On the top floor of Rijnveste stands Wageningen’s first wind turbine, and every unit and apartment has its own solar boiler for heating water.
