Sheep makes comeback on campus
They are back! From today, some 280 sheep are grazing again on the Wageningen campus, guided by a shepherd and his short-haired border collie.

The flock is being employed because of ecological advantages. Insects and small animals would be spared the mowing machine's blade in this way. In addition, removing mowed grass will result in more carbon dioxide.
The flock of sheep came to Wageningen for the first time in 2009 as an experiment.
