Shanghai Ranking: WUR once again first in Food Science & Technology and Agricultural Sciences

What is also striking is that Wageningen has surpassed Utrecht in the field of veterinary sciences. Last year, Utrecht was in second place in that field; it is now in tenth place. Wageningen showed an impressive boost by jumping from 29th in 2017 to eighth in 2018. The ecology field is also doing very well with a fifth place (seventh in 2017).

Of the many rankings for top universities, the Shanghai Ranking is one of the most influential. This ranking has a list for each field of research as well as for the total score per university. The latter will be published later this year. The Shanghai Ranking assesses over four thousand universities.
