His passionate delivery – sometimes a soft whisper, then swelling with anguish – perfectly fits his ballads about a stormy love life and his quest to find himself. Van Cleeff was one of 10 artists to perform on 8 November in 10 different Wageningen student rooms in the annual cultural event called Roomservice. Yet again the varied acts drew an audience of hundreds.
