It is impossible to have missed them, the bright blue signs on light green posts. Prominent colours. You can not escape them. And that is exactly the point. The new signs are there to show visitors the shortest route to their destination. Besides the number and name of the building, also a picture is printed on the sign. The pictures match the maps that were placed by the entrances of the campus.
The signs are part of a grand package of sign posts and routing on campus that will be placed in the coming months. For drivers sign posts will be placed leading to the four large parking areas near Radix, Zodiac, Rikilt and Orion. Eight meter high signs point out the parking areas of respectively P1 to P4. From the parking areas the visitors are led to the buildings. The signs that are now placed are part of this.
In the coming months also the bike and footpaths will be taken care of. The footpaths will receive a yellow top layer, the bike paths will remain black. In this manner a hierarchy should form. But first the bridge crossing the Orion pond will be widened. In a similar manner as the Forum bridge, also this bridge will separate the bikers from the pedestrians.
