The logo, a stylized W, is more popularly referred to as the lightning bolt. The sign had stood originally in Duivendaal and was stored away for some time. This yet-to-be-named object is now given a new lease of life as part of the art collection walk on the campus. The familiar neon-green light border has yet to be switched on. The sign was a present given to the LUW by the Agricultural Research Department (DLO) and other organizations. Five years later saw both institutes joining forces as Wageningen UR.
LUW logo gets new lease of life in Forum
The old logo of the Wageningen Agricultural University (LUW) has been placed at the entrance of Forum today. It looks as if this work of art is a present from 1993 to mark the 75th anniversary of the university.
